What Should I Expect On Sunday?

Friendly people and meaningful worship; that’s what to expect at St. Martin’s. We invite you to one of our worship services; there is one to fit your style.

  • A quiet and contemplative 8:00 a.m. Rite I Holy Eucharist service using more traditional language lasting approximately 50 minutes.
  • A 10:00 a.m. Rite II Holy Eucharist generally lasting about 60 minutes that is more contemporary with a variety of music in a large community gathering.
  • A relaxed, Holy Eucharist, Rite II service at 6:00 p.m. in the Chapel lasting about 40 minutes.

Children enjoy Gathering Time at 9:15 a.m in the Play Yard, then Sunday School at 9:30 a.m. in the classrooms during the school year.  Then move into the Chapel for Children’s Chapel, a service modified to their age group which includes scripture, children’s sermon, music, and prayers.  They join with their parents in church about 10:40 a.m. for Holy Eucharist.  On the last Sunday of the month, children participate in Youth Service at 10:00 a.m. in the church, so no Sunday School or Children’s Chapel.

St. Martin’s Episcopal Church requires that those in authority and direct contact with children must take a class to receive a certification that teaches them to protect children and adults from sexual misconduct.
